I am Amina. I was born in Barcelona (Spain), my mother is Spanish and my father is from Morocco. I have an adult daughter and a pre-adolescent daughter. I married an Irishman and moved to live in Ireland.
I have worked in very different things in my life – until I realized that my true passion is working with women. I like all the processes and stages that women go through during our lives, and I like to accompany them, especially pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
I think that it is in those moments around childbirth that the presence and the support that the community and the tribe offered in the past are most needed. Adapting to the times we live in, I feel that it is very valuable for a mother and for families to experience the support that doulas offer.
I have been working as a Doula in Spain and in Ireland since 2013. I did my training in (MARESDOULES Barcelona), as a Lactation Consultant in (EDULACTA), also I’m a Childcare Assistant, and Practitioner of techniques with the Rebozo. I have 25 years of experience working with people (as a dance teacher, meditation leader, womens group organizer and human design analyst), leading groups or working individually.
That experience makes me believe in the uniqueness of each human being and that it is important to adapt to the needs of each situation, each person, each family and each mother-baby.
